Warpig vs Evo

http://www.box.net/shared/x7c7op7uoa - Evo

http://www.box.net/shared/i8ya04lvj1 - Warpig

There you go guys. Clips of the Dimarzio EVO vs The BKP Warpig both are in the bridge.

In the Warpig Clip, at the end there is a demonstration of the difference between the Warpig and Evo side by side. It's a big difference in my opinion! For the good though

I highly suggeest downloading for best quality.

I think it sounds a bit clearer too in person. You can hear the chords a lot better.

I might do another clip.

Really? I wouldn't have guessed that. I think the Evo was a little bit muddier. The Warpig really gets the sound out there nice, clear, and cut.

The 81 sounded a bit better imo The Warpig sounds sweet but that 81 has more of that sweet-ass chug. How much did that Baron cost?

Baron costed me $1100 used but they run for 1500 new.

Everyone seems to have their preference with the pickups.

I was going to put up a poll but you can't do that when you edit threads so that kinda sucks.

Love that Warpig... Wanna hear it and the 81 in stereo
Then there's this band called Slice The Cake...

Bunch of faggots putting random riffs together and calling it "progressive" deathcore.
Stupid name.
Probably picked "for teh lulz"

Wow I think I'm the only person that doesn't like the Warpig. The Evo and EMG sounded tighter and punchier to my ears and less "bloated". The Warpig is awesome though, and definitely sounds HUGE. Obviously personal preference here

I've always loved Evo pickups, but the Warpig sounds much better ...

I'd love to listen to more samples though, what kind of amp are you running them through?
#21
Well as far as I can remember I had a Randall RM100 with a modded ultra module. The new clip will be through a Baron Custom Amps K88. I'll leave the TS-9 and ISP off and just run the amp and guitar with both sets of pickups. I might be getting rid of the Warpig and that's why I'll be doing the swap.

I felt exactly the same.

Based off what I heard, I personally liked the emgs the best simply because of the extreme clarity and chuggness (if that makes sense)

The warpigs are better than the evo though cleans and lead demos would help also, if the evo were clearer by just a bit, IMO the warpig would be a waste of money

also, you have any other pups to compare? It would be neat to here how say, blackouts or nailbombs or an x2n sound comparitively

thanks
