I have an RG420CM http://www.ibanez.com/ElectricGuitars/model-RG420CM

I want to put in some new passive pickups (Seymour Duncan: Invader + 59's) but having never done it before im not to sure what im doing. I have seen some wiring diagrams on the SD website but can i be sure that the 5-way switch will work when rewire the pickups?

I read somewhere i needed 4 "conductors" (i assume this means there are more wires involved) on both pickups for the switch to work, is this true?

Cheers.

a great place to start would be the wiring thread

I agree with the wiring thread, but you should consider upgrading your amp first. A pickup change won't sound any different through a Microcube.

Also, Gibson has some cool tutorials on pickup changes on their website.

That other thread is where you were supposed to post in the first place. It's the best answer you could have been given.
