Hi All,
I've been thinking about getting a new OD but am not sure what to go with just yet. I'm contemplating something that gives me a Strokes or Kings of Leon type of tone. Something that is new age but can also hit some classic OD tones. After some research I'm thinking about the VS Route 66 but wanted to get some more suggestions before I trade / purchase. Thanks for the input.

My Current amp is 65 Deluxe Rev RI. I'd say budget is 100-200$.

Thanks,

Just get a Tubescreamer or a cheaper tubescreamer clone. Though I'm sure an MI Audio Blues Pro or an OCD could nail classic tones and Strokes type tones.

I recommend a tubescreamer... its what the route 66 is based off i think.
Or look at OCD for british voiced...

Most 'modern' indie rock tones are the same old amps and guitars, just with better production.

Look around and most of em are using Teles and LP Juniors with AC30s, Plexis and Twin Reverbs.

Think I could get away with using a BD-2 instead of a TS-9?
