I was looking to get a new mic ro record guitar and bass tracks with. I have the Electro Voice 635a( http://www.electrovoice.com/products/100.html ) right now that I got from a friend. I was thinking of replacing it with one of these two:
Blue Snowball- http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/SnowballBK
or
Samson G-track- http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/GTrackUSB/reviews/#anchor

I'll be using this for recording guitar and bass and my budget is around $120 but I might be able to go to $150

Shure SM57, or if you want to concentrate more on bass then an AKG D112. Both awesome mics for the price.

For the bass, you'll generally get a better sound running it line-in, not micing it. Does your interface have an instrument input?
Telecaster - SG - Jaguar
Princeton Reverb, Extra Reverb
P-Bass - Mustang Bass
Apogee Duet 2 - Ableton Suite
