I am thinking of replacing my licensed floyd but I am not sure what tremolo would be a good replacement. The reason I am replacing the trem on my RG is because I have problems with the trem arm that can only get temporarily fixed.

This is the tremolo I have now

I was wondering if this would be the same quality or better.

This is another option I was considering

I am open to suggestions, but I don't want to spend anything like $180 because for me it doesn't seem like it is worth that much of an investment.

First 2 links don't work

Why don't you replace the the trem arm, and the bit that you screw it into on the trem?

Sorry about that the links work now. I have had a guy at a shop fix it about 3 times by now. I have also tried to fix it myself and the problem reoccurs. I also bought the guitar used, so maybe the owner before me screwed it up. Anyways I want something that may be a overall better functioning tremolo.

What exactly is the problem you're having?

The tremolo I have has a screw in arm. The part that it screws into always come loose. Tightening has not fixed it that much because it tends to keep loosening. I went to a shop and the guy has put washers in and that fixed it a little. Then he had to make custom washers, then that stopped working. I figured I might as well just get a new floyd rose at this point because the floyd always seems to loosen.

If you take some thread tape (the white really thin like tape that plumbers use on threads to help keep things threaded when they tend to rattle around and unscrew themselves), that stuff works like a dream
