Hey guys

I was wondering whats the best song or album to listen to while sleeping. I tried once, and failed, but am hoping to give it another go tonight. I was thinking maybe some of Radioheads Hail to the Thief. But well I Don't know. Im tempted to try some Sunn O))) as well

Anyways what do you think?

Wasn't there this exact thread last night?

OT: I usually listen to Modest Mouse's 'Interstate 8' album
If it were socially acceptable, I would drape myself in velvet.

Lateralus by tool. The album, not just the songs.

Especially songs like reflection & disposition.

For me I like to sleep to Racer X, Ozzy's Blizzard of Ozz or before I sleep meditate while listening to Buckethead.

Burzum - Rundgang um die transzendentale Säule der Singularität: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S-x6BU9u0sQ

And all kinds of Ambient stuff, but those two are really good, you should really try

Asking the Pit to play this is kinda like asking the guy who makes suggestive gay jokes if he wants to have sex with a man.

Also you're off topic. This thread is about Reva eating snowmen.

Well, you could listen to some Coldplay, The Killers or Jason Mraz to get asleep

For sleeping, some Post-Rock (I highly recommend Godspeed You! Black Emperor for that cause) or electronic like Boards of Canada or DJ Shadow (not house, or tecno or that kind of stuff)

Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Sigur Ros, Brian Eno's ambient works, Explosions In The Sky, Gregor Samska, Portishead, Radiohead's electronic stuff (particularly Kid A, Amnesiac & In Rainbows), Einaudi, Giovanni Allevi, Eryk Satie - the list goes on forever!

I fell asleep the other day listening to Welcome to Sky Valley by Kyuss. That was pretty awesome......

Mogwai's "the hawk is howling" has swayed me to sleep for many nights in a row. As well as any of Owen's tunes, or American Football

I listen to anything to go to sleep, I probably don't need it, I'd just probably be bored without it.

Dude, Hail to the Thief and Portishead freak me out when i'm trying to sleep but the rest of the stuff on this list is pretty much true. Not coldplay though.
