so i just got a vt50 and i love the cleans but im not much a fan of the dist channels on it and i think the amp could really shine with a few pedals. so i dont really have a price limit but im not looking at a multi effect. i play classic rock, and some newer rock, coheed and cambria, alter bridge etc. so what should i get? links are appreciated as well as all feedback. thanks.

edit: nevermind about $150

Never tried through the VT's, but most modelling amps sound horrible when you run stomboxes through them.

That being said if you still want to take the chance, what's your budget?

And the VT can pull of the sounds you're wanting tbh.

EDIT: Some suggestions....

If money is no object... Get this.

If you have a budget... get this.

Or don't. Just some suggestions.

First you put your pants on your head.
Second you dance.
Third you wipe off all the pussy.

And it's a distortion pedal... But it sounds amazing and is cloned off of a JCM 800. And that's the cheapest suggestion I have Low-medium gain pedals aren't my area of expertise

Good luck.

EDIT: I just saw your username...

Well then definitely look into these. Great sounding distortion pedal. Maybe look up some demos and reviews of them as well.
