What musicians do you think are too good for the band they are in?

Robert Trujillo Metallica

Dave Lombardo Slayer (well they suck now)
#4
James Hetfield.

And John Frusciante, but he already realised that.

To be fair, a lot of session musicians who tour do it by choice, and many have spoken out on the benefits musically of working with a pop act, as well as money etc
I love my keyboardist, he's hot.

Surely anything above 50% would mean that the rest of the band is good enough...?

No. Flea and Chad Smith are two of the most respected bassists and drummers in the music industry.

Edit - Amen to Mark Tremonti (pun fully intended)

chris pennie from coheed and cambria.... he left dillinger escape plan which is one of the most creative instrumentally technical bands out there and now he's forced to cater to coheed's predictable beats and failed attempts at being an "epic" band.

Mick Hucknall of Simply Red.

No matter how much I hate this band, he's a great singer and his band just is not good enough for him.

Fortunately, I don't have that problem

"You're a twat!"- That dude in morrisons

"You Ugly git!" - That girl in the restaurant

"You Were a Mistake!" - Mum

Keidis has come a LONG way since his days of rapping and The Chilis aren't the sort of band that require someone such as, say, Bruce Dickinson, it's about the message and not the delivery. But hey, that's just in my eyes.

Frusciante(ofc I know that he already left peppers), but instead hearing him solo I'd wish to hear him with a different rock band. To be honest, considering his musical taste it would be quite hard to find space for him. On the other hand... Oasis has a vacant slot for a guitarist xP. Imagine that.

For more proof, borrow somebody's Neverender DVDs if they'll part with them, and watch the show Coheed puts on. Welcome Home gets just a little more badass.
