So,
Just broke strings on both my guitars and I'm thinking of switching string gauge.
Now I use standard string but I've heard I lose a lot of my tone.
My gibson is almost always tuned in drop C, I play a lot of metal with it, what strings do you suggest?
My fender is mostly tuned in E or drop D, so normal fender strings?

you should get some nice 13 guage strings for drop C metal style playing... because of the heavier sound they imply/no loosness/better tone(somtimes). for the fender, a regular 10 or 11 would sound great.

The lower you drop tune, the heavier your strings should be to maintain tone and tension. Try a set of .13s. If they strike you as too heavy, go to .11s.
