one thing i cant stand is when a guitar has really shallow frets
this is usually seen on bead quality guitars where they file down the fret because of buzzing
leaving the surface really flat and shallow

who are the worse culprits for this

and who are the best

Are you reffering to fret size?

Most vintage guitars have a thinner fretwire resulting in shallower frets. Many modern guitars have'jumbo' frets creating the idea of a deeper fret but i'm struggling to understand what you mean.
