So my Grandpa had this really old Gibson acoustic (I believe it is a real gibson?). He passed away a couple years ago and it is now in possession of my Grandma. I dont know anything about the thing and I would love some info about it. Here is the only picture I could find of it.

So if anyone could give me any sort of info on it, how old it is, how much its worth or anything like that, that would be great. I am really hoping that I will end up in possession of this guitar as it sounds amazing.

Thanks a lot

EDIT: Also, the logo on the headstock looks different then most Gibson's, has it changed over the years or what?

It's almost certainly a J-45. Looking to sell it?

...please?

Depending on the model year, which we can only guess at from the picture, it would sell for around three or four grand.

It's hard to tell from the pic if there used to be a banner logo below the Gibson logo on the head stock. If there was then it's definitely made during/before WW2
