I have finally finished the lyrics for the Disbelief song 'Ruin'. However, it's taken on something of a life of it's own, included a few additional voices.

Hero = Adam
Eternal 1 = Paul
Eternal 2 = Ally

Anything in brackets is sung by Eternal 2, and hence Ally.

Enjoy!

Hero

I know that I once had a home here
Though I couldn't quite say when.
There was a time when I knew all the answers
And then Ruin came for me again.

There was a time (there was a time) when I had many questions
My dearest friend answered them all. (my dearest friend)
And in the end (and in the end) everything had left me
After my pride there came the fall.

Eternal 1
Why run now boy? Don't you dare.
Do you see the smoke running through the air?

Eternal 1 & Eternal 2
After forever fails, nobility has fallen
The engine of life grinds to an end.
If any hope remains then surely it is crawling
Back from whence it came.

Hero
There is silence on the streets today
But it is always that way. (always that way)
I may try to find a reason to smile
Or maybe to pray. (maybe to pray)
Why must I survive, in this barren wasteland?
Why couldn't all the rest thrive?
I am alone now, there's no one to answer
Why must I survive?

Eternal 1 & 2
After forever fails, nobility has fallen
The engine of life grinds to an end.
If any hope remains then surely it is crawling
Back from whence it came.
And though your suffering is that you must continue
Would you prefer to be amongst those that died?
Voice of eternity, speak your words of wisdom
Into the undying night.

Eternal 1
It's a world that you could call your own
With all of the land to call your home. (it's calling you home)
All of your sins have been washed away
Today is a brand new day. (make it a wonderful day)
Take up the ruins, and take up the seas
Be free from the darkness

Eternal 1 & 2
While you can.

Eternal 1
So close to surrender
The poor boy is lost in time.
Why is he deserving?
What was his crime?

Eternal 2
I could not tell you
I didn't bring him in myself.
Perhaps he might find a reason to smile
When he notices he's not in hell.

This sounds like something off an Ayreon album. I dunno if it's good or bad, I'm personally not a fan of 'epic' songwriting as such, but I think you pulled the style off well enough.
