I was wondering if anyone knows how to achieve the tone of the guitar that comes in around 6:15 of the song Time Flies by Porcupine Tree, what does he do to get it to sound that way?

Thanks in advance

and then there's free jazz, which isn't even for musicians.

As my old guitar teacher once said: Metal really comes from classical music. The only difference is pinch harmonics, double bass, and lyrics about killing goats.

The single/release edit is shorter than the original.
I'd say, wah or flanger/phaser, massive reverb and some subtle delay.
Also, for EQ you probably want a relatively flat(ish) scope and to be on bridge or middle p/up.
