last week my friend got a new bass.He doesn't know what model it is, all he knows is that it was made in Mexico between 2005 and 2006 and appears to have a active EQ. is missing the truss rod cover and has the fender 60th anniversary crest on the back of the head stock. Any help would be appreciated. thanks in advance.

^its definitely a Fender Mexican (Ensenda) serial number from 2005-2006. What is throwing me off is the headstock and the Gotoh tuners. The body shape and pup configuration look zone like, but the bridge looks off.

I wonder if its a one off or someone's done some modifications....

looks a lot like a fender zone (pups, controls). That bridge is intense.

This is a difficult one. It isn't a Zone. Plus, MIM serial numbers are M? + 6 digits, not 7 digits like on this one. That is a Fender MB style heastock... but neither MB or Zone basses have 24 frets- they have 22. The Zone has a standard headstock.

TS, does the bass have the "skunkstripe" down the neck?

did a little googling. it appears to be a Dimension V.
