Hey guys,

I think I need a cheap power supply for my pedals, I have 3 at the moment, but I don't need more than 5 outputs really. I'm in the uk, so bare that in mind.
It's either doing that, or getting re-chargeable 9V batteries, but I've heard they only send out 8.4volts, and I would need to re-charge them a lot?

I'm by no means an expert on this, so I don't know what's expensive or cheap, just try to recommend something for a GASing teenager to buy!

can you get your hands on a one spot daisy chain system? i use one for my board and it works great. i don't have as many pedals on my current board as i used to...but my former board was enormous and it powered them all quietly.

I'm not 100% sure what that is; as I said, I'm completely new to power systems and such. I'm guessing it's some kind of power block that can split the power to several pedals? Could you link me to a decent one? Thank you.

It's basically a chain of plugs that connect to one adapter.

EDIT:

here's their website:
http://www.visualsound.net/index.php/products/1spot

and the compatibility chart:

the plugs on the daisy chain will fit most pedals that are boss-style plugs (9v, center negative polarity). they also sell adapters for line 6, EHX pedals, etc.

If you look at any in your local shop you might see a power brick that looks like this:

Avoid them because they break pretty easy and give off some wierd hum.

The Boss adapter with a daisy chain extension is pretty good that's what I'm using at the moment.

Thanks.

I would just buy the power supply block, then get the "Multi-Plug" 5 cable? Just checking.
