I've recently inherited a 30+ year old Kimbara accoustic guitar but have realised that the neck is a bit warped - the strings are very high off the frets and its very difficult to play without seriously clamping down on the strings usually causing an irritating burr.

However its beauitful and when it does sound its got a great sound so I was wondering if there is anything I can do about it?

There appears to be no metal rod in the neck either (which I've heard a professional could tighten/loosen to straighten it).

Any advice gratefully received! thanks

You need to take to a luthier... not a tech. If there is no truss rod, it will involve clamping, heating, and resetting the shape. Not something that would even remotely be considered a DIY project.

Good luck.
