I'm so tired of only seeing that ribbed shit that Topman calls "style".

I'm more into the blazer style, minimilist stuff. Anyone know any retailers that do decent leather jackets that don't cost an arm and leg (Around £150)?

Carlings had a pretty sweet leather jacket last time I was there.

Agreed, but there are no Carlings in the UK, only in scandinavia.

I got one from Burton, very thin/minimalist looking but still quite warm, was only £60, came with a grey hood. For me, it seems its just a matter of getting lucky in these shops, there's loads of different stuff in each time I go and occasionally you get something really nice.

If you're really having trouble, just look for some specialised leather retailers. I don't know where you live, but in Birmingham there are quite a few decent ones. They usually have a decent range, and can usually make one for you, either by taking your measurements or modelling it on a piece of clothing you give them, that's what one place offered me when I wanted leather trousers.

Or you could just get incredibly lucky and find one on a car boot sale like I did, I got an amazing leather jacket for £5, but that's a once in a blue moon kinda thing

Don't go to chain shops, go to a dedicated leather shop.

My mate actually had one made, but it did cost a bit more than £150 (although not that much more I don't think)

Second hand shops.

Always. you'll find something much more individual, it will be cheaper than first hand, too. Oh, and brand new leather jackets look awful.

Go to vintage shops, seriously. There's excellent ones in York and Leeds if you're from the north

I went to COW in Digbeth and it kinda sucked...

Plus the fact that I'm short doesn't help, but what other vintage shops are there in brum?
