I have a single Laney 12" powered monitor, I usually plonk it infront of me and a little to the side. I've always found it very diffictult to hear myself singing on stage, for obvious reasons, it's a hell of a lot more difficult to sing on stage than it is to sing acoustically, and I have never seemed to get used to it.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me, based on their experience of using one or two monitors at a time, how much it would help if I forked out for another monitor, so I can have one both front left and front right of my microphone. Thank you!

P.S. I'm not interested in IEM's for the moment.

Are you sure you're just used to the sound of your voice and don't recognize it coming through the speakers?
I wondered that, but I did over a 100 gigs last year, if I'm not used to it by now then I never will be!

Get In-Ears.
I don't want to use In-Ears (IEM's), I don't like the isolation and haven't got time to set up ambient mics at every gig.
