This is a song based off a song my youth group band wrote that I recorded myself. I wrote all the parts except the main chords, which are Dm, Bb, F, C which the entire song is based around. Don't judge it based on the fact that its a worship song.

Its not meant to be complicated, meant to be simple, and give more of a feeling rather than entertain. But I tried to solo as best as I could, so its not horrible. The rhythm guitars are Quad tracked, gets off timing every now and then. And at the end it skips badly, cause Reaper is being a pain, and my sound card can't process 10 separate tracks at once that have multiple effects on them. There is bass guitar, just letting ya'll know. The drums are simple, but only cause our drummer started playing the drums for the first time on Wednesday night, the night of worship service, so I made the drums simple so he could play it.

But overall how is the song? What do I need to improve on?

Yeah, I'm still trying to get better with my trem, and I'm not used to playing .11's in standard tuning So my bends kinda suck.

The song actually played by our band is a lot more simpler. Instead of lead guitar its a piano, I'm still the rhythm electric guitarist, and the clean guitar is done by an acoustic guitar, and our band has no bass guitarist atm. But I like to spice it up. But I do do something like the intro, with that intro lead, but then the rest is just rhythm, since its kinda hard to play powerchord rhythms while playing lead at the same time.

I like the lead throughout the song and I like that you brought back the intro riff at the end. Keep practicing, this track has a lot of potential to be really good. Cool stuff. =P

I redid the intro solo of Myst if you want to check it out ^^

apart from the timing issues which we all seem to do, well i do anyways cause i'm human. it's a good little tune, work on the bends cause they let down some pretty solid playing.
is the vocals to this or is an instrumental?

I like the intro, set things up nice, that lead guitar sounds good but a little too loud with the rest of the mix. I like the part at 1:07, really cool as things start to all put together. Very nice lead playing herek, but bends could use a little more work (I know you said you have 11s on your guitar so its cool). The drumming is not horrible for someone just starting, but it would be nice to hear more kick drum. Again, the chorus at 2:30ish sounds good again.
Overall the tracvk has a cool drive to it, and although simple, its rockin. The mixing could use a bit of work but the main points come through clearly.
Also, holy shit you have a ton of songs on your profile.

crit mine?

Yeah, there are vocals to this song, but this version that I wrote of it wouldn't fit the vocals too well, its more of an instrumental version of the actual song, which is a worship song, which are never structured, and repeat the same chord progression over and over again without any change, so I thought I would give a little spice on this rather boring song.

It definately sounded like a worship song, but 10 times more awesome. Keep it up.
