its not as fast as you think it is.... just practice it slowly and gradually pick up the speed... the hardest part is the 32nd notes, in my opinion, and eventually you'll get it... just don't give up, break it into parts, and you'll get it.

I think every bassist is still in the process of learning that song.
I can play the intro and the main riffs, but some of the fills are ridiculous.

Get a metronome and learn it slowly, then gradually build the speed up as you get more comfortable.
Alternatively, if you have guitar pro, you can actually slow the entire song down to 25% and 50%, it's very useful.

My girlfriend keeps me working well.

I'm actually learning The Trees by Rush, ahhahaa. I'm not ready for YYZ and I don't enjoy the song too much, so I doubt I'll learn it.

Just practice your hand positions, there's no extension that will MAKE you go faster, start slow, get fast.

Which hand are you having trouble with?
Only play what you hear. If you don’t hear anything, don’t play anything.

Take a look at some of the bass fills in the tune. That will change your mind.
