Yay for NAD

ooooh TOOBZ

Peavey? tweed? a classic maybe?

oh yes this definitely looks like a classic

thats right =D peavey classic 50!!!

The family =)

Alright, a review. So much to say, start from the begining.
Well packaged for sure. Its built rock solid, and i mean ROCK SOLID, this thing is a tank. It weighs a ton but it sure is worth it. The cleans are incredible, you can really get a great sound, just a little bit of dirty grit makes it sound fantastic, just a tad of reverb and it sounds like heaven. Moving on the the lead channel, this channel is a little more difficult to set up nice, but when you do, it sounds superb. the sound is truely warm, and juicy. The gain is thick, but the notes stay crisp, truley unmatched, ive never heard anything like it. It is LOUD, but it can be played at bedroom levels with satisfactory results. Well worth the price i really love it, peavey makes me happy once more!

EDIT: WOW sorry for the big pics

Nice

That thing is pretty much 2 amps in 1. The clean is pretty much the same circuit you'd find in most, if not all fenders, and the distortion is a Peavey type distortion.

I tried it out in store.

Great neck, nice n light, good tuning stability. Overall a good guitar. I didn't but it cause I generally only buy guitars over a grand now.

So I've heard this amp is great for blues, alternative, rock, but how is the disttortion. Would this be a good amp for Metallica stuff? I don't playuch metal other than Metallica, Iron Maiden, and a few other random stuff, but a good distortion tone for metallica is important to me.

HNAD! Classics are awesome!

MatrixClaw did some clips with a Classic 30 that were pretty heavy. Both with and without OD I think he did.

Yup yup. My recording method makes it sound really tiny, but they give you a decent idea. The 50 has more gain though than the 30, or so I hear.

P.S. When the hell did you put a quote of me in your sig!?!? Apparently I haven't been posting much, I hadn't even noticed it!

I've had tube amps for a while now, but never actually had any go down on me

maybe you're not saying the right things? an amp likes to know you care.
