I bought a brand new Epi Les Paul three months ago... I was shredding just fine, but then my pickups stopped working (i think)
When I CRANK the volume and the gain, I can hear a little clean guitar.. but it;s almost inaudible.
I am very angry. Guitar Center, and Sam Ash said they'll take two friggin' weeks to repair it, and for a premium price.
What is going on? What should I do to fix it?

have you tried through a different amp? different cable?
Open up the panels on the back of your guitar and check for either A. Any loose wires or B. any unconnected wires.
Current Gear:
LTD MH-400
PRS SE Custom 24 (Suhr SSH+/SSV)
Ibanez RG3120 Prestige (Dimarzio Titans)
Squier Vintage Modified 70s Jazz V
Audient iD22 interface
Peavey Revalver 4, UAD Friedman BE100/DS40
Adam S3A monitors

You CAN play anything with anything....but some guitars sound right for some things, and not for others. Single coils sound retarded for metal, though those who are apeshit about harpsichord probably beg to differ.

Nothing is blatantly loose that I can see, but it's awfully hard to see electrons.
You can plug in the guitar and turn the amp on and poke around to see if anything makes a connection. Try to push the bare parts of the wires against the contacts they're making, especially the ones on the pots. It's probably a loose ground wire.

I'd put money on it being a duff selector switch.

id blow air into the switch while flicking. 3 bucks.

id say this is like the 10th, defunct epi switch this year.

after,
id take out jack, check both wires are secure.

buy a $15 soldering iron kit. instructions on the pack.

heat iron, connect wire back to that little metal tab it fell off of.

when you hand tighten the jack, instead of taking it out to tighten, like it says in the picture.

if there's no locking washer. to keep the jack tight. that sort of thing.

as you can see, if i made a picture, it must be a pretty common problem.
good luck
