Chasing a bit of a long shot here...but does anybody know anything about this solid state 100W amp or have you played it? Something except how ugly it is.

Info online is very sparse.

It looks like this...

Its not ugly... but i havent played it, maybe its tone is ugly :S

I find it quite obtrusive looking...

But i don't really care, I'm just wondering if it sounds any good...

Somebody selling it for cheap but its a bit of a drive...kinda need a heads up as to whether its worth it.

It's rare. Just get it for the re-sale value

EDIT: how much is the seller asking for?

About $100

But keep in mind I'm in Iceland. Even a Line 6 Spider 15W costs like $200 here !

GET IT!! Just for the novelty of owning one.

BTW, were you the one who posted this on the Laney Posse forum as well?

Haha yes, that is also me.

I guess I'll have to take the plunge as it seems unlikely anybody will have some experience with this...I hope its worth taking half of my Sunday in driving time.

Let us know what it's like . There's barely any information about this on the web.

As far as SS amps go they aren't too bad. The clean channel is pretty good (not Roland JC good but very useable). The overdrive on it is typical SS nasty - not get beer cans chucked at you nasty but you'd probably want to use a pedal instead of the amp's distortion. If you want a clean amp to run pedals into it will do the job ok. There are a LOT worse SS amps out, far worse.
At that price it's worth getting even if it's just for friends to use to jam with you after you get a good amp.
