Hey, I am looking into buying a lower end PRS and am wondering what the difference between the SE Standard and the SE Custom 22 (Blue Matteo with Trem)? They seem to both be the same, only the Custom has a flamed maple veneer and is stained, while the Standard has a Vintage Mahogony.
So are asthetics the only difference? As the price difference is just under £100 in the UK, can anyone help?
Cheers

Yes, aesthetics are the main difference.

Besides the color and finish, the Standard has a carve like a Stratocaster where your arm passes when playing, while the Custom has a completely flat top.

See what i mean?

Also, the pickups may not be exactly the same, but i played both through the same amp, and didn't notice any difference.
