The track was around 7 minutes from what I remember, wasn't HHIG or Thou. The song had something to do with Miasma or something.

Although, those are both stellar bands. Especially HHIG.

Oh really? We should get together sometime. We're only a couple hours away.

Anyways, still looking for that band that I don't remember. One track on myspace. Sludgey stuff, very calming, and then this burst of rage comes from nowhere and devastates any listeners. Don't remember anything.

hmm well it's probably not them but Mudlark has Sludge and Grind parts together and have a similar effect. Only the Sludge is'nt really calming. Was it straight up sludge, or maybe more post oriented? Where do you live ? HHIS is way to good. Chain Of Command owns me daily.

Wainwright, and if I remember correctly, you're in Calgary. It usually takes me around 3 hours to get there.

The song was..Hmm..I guess there was some post going on for a while during the song, just a lot of single note mellow stuff, and then the blaring came in.

Me too! I'll see if I can remember em.

Next time i'm up there for sure i'll give you a buzz, my brother's applying for the uni up there, hopefully he'll get in, so next year or two, and possibly for Noctis as well.
#89
MRU of UFC, I applied at MRU. Noctis will be great, though needs a sludge band added to the bill.IF she got Thou i would just die. Their Hooves Carved Craters In The Earth is one monolith of a track.
Excellent! We'll have to meet up.

Oh yeah definately!Ahh is the drinking age gunna be 21? I'm not the type to get slammed at concerts. But being able to have a few legal drinks would be nice.

Hell yes it is, love me some Thou as well. I'm pretty sure he's applying at U of C, or U of A, but I know he wants to go to U of C more.

I haven't checked up on Noctis recently, gonna have to see if anything else worthy is added.
#91
Yeah it will be, but I guarantee the staff won't know a Canadian id is fake. What hotel are you staying at?
#92
Martial Barrage has the guitarist from Procreation, so i'm stoked to check em out. Did you go to the first Noctis?

Yeah it will be, but I guarantee the staff won't know a Canadian id is fake. What hotel are you staying at?

Ughh,oh well.I don't need a fake just for going to one show. I will just drink before/after/outside if i really feel the need.I'm not sure yet, gotta ask my buddy about it. he planned the whole thing.

#96

Will preamp tubes turn black and melt slightly undernormal conditions and still work?

I love the vocalist, especially in the video. She looks possessed when she does her vocals.I think they were one of the best bands in the genre.

Jesus christ, that guy should do black metal.

He could totally pull that off if he wasn't dead. But being dead is black metal as **** so he might be able to, who knows?

#106
Does anyone know any good Black/Sludge bands ?

Hmm ic,would be see a band successfully blend the two styles. It's easier with Death Metal or Grindcore but Black Metal is quite distant from Sludge.

Somewhat yeah,i do really like the band though i must say. Hmm Wreck Of The Hesperus could count also.

It got rec'd to me as Funeral Doom but it sounds kinda like a black/sludge/funeral doom hybrid

Yeah...
Dyer's Eve is awesome, and has an abnormally large penis, which doesn't act as any hinderance to his everyday life despite its freakishly large size.

The point of underground bands is their not popular or famous most of the time. Thus there is a good chance they suck.
#115
Kylesa's vocalist kind of sounds like the dude from The Offspring, i was into them for a little while.

Zero that band is quite good, good archetypical sludge never dissapoints.

I had high expectations for Static Tensions, namely because of the dual drummer thing ala The Melvins.

I was disappointed.

Melvins are gods though.

I liked Static Tensions, haven't heard the new one. They don't need two drummers though.
