Check out Jason Becker and Jeff Loomis(Nevermore)
They use a lot of various sweep shapes in their solos that could be interesting to learn.
Try the intro sweeps in Psalm of Lydia, or This Godless Endeavour solo by Nevermore, Altitudes by Jason Becker.

*Enter arpeggio here* Just sweep that.

Edit: Ehh I'll be productive. One of my favorite sweeps (drop D or other tuning with the 6th string lowered):

E|-------------------------------12-17-22-17-12--------------------------------
B|---------------------------14---------------------14----------------------------
G|-----------------------15----------------------------15-------------------------
D|------------------17-----------------------------------17-----------------------
A|-------------12--------------------------------------------12-------------------
D|---12--15-----------------------------------------------------15-12----------

Your going to hammer on the fifteen, sweep up, hammer the 17 tap the 22 with your right hand middle finger pull off to twelve sweep down pull off to twelve.

EDIT2: Screwed up at the first string :P

Instead of just learning shapes and such, learn how to construct chords. Then once you know how to do that you simply turn them into arpeggios and sweep them. Also check out the intro to "My Will Be Done" by Unearth. Its sweep tapping.

Try the Dance of Eternity by Dream Theater, around 2 minutes in theres some easy shapes that are really nice, although it is in 11/4 its worth checking out
