I kinda googled, would it be a MetalZone? I got "Diamond Eyes" yesterday, and want to learn some covers ASAP. Thanks in advance.

Uhhh... I'm almost certain they use a nice amp and not a distortion? Either way, don't buy a MetalZone, cause it sounds horrible stock.

The tone on Diamond Eyes is freakin sick, whatever they use

I've had tube amps for a while now, but never actually had any go down on me

maybe you're not saying the right things? an amp likes to know you care.

no pedals
its all his amp mostly, though he does use a zvex fuzz factory sometimes
his preamp is a marshall jmp-1 preamp into a marshall dual monoblock power-amp

Thanks guys. Although my hopes may have been crushed as I believe Carpenter, their guitarist, uses a baritone which I dont have. Or possibly a 7 string? which i also dont have. And I dont think I can get that tone with a Big Muff Pi.
