This is a "crash test" of my car, a late 80's Ford Escort:

I never realized my car was so malleable. I need to get a new (safer) ride.

Anyone else drive really crap cars?

I drive a Geo Prizm, I imagine a crash test for it would look something like that.
Although, I'm not actually too sure, the damn thing just won't die.
Begin again in the night, let's sway again tonight.

Mine's made mostly of Bond-o and duct tape at this point.

I was actually considering getting an old-school beetle this summer to drive back and forth from college but I think that would be a step in the wrong direction as far as safety is concerned...

I really, really want to do it but I don't like the idea of being flattened by a semi on my way home from college.

If I do, I'll need one of these as well to stash my music gear:

I wouldnt call my car crap, but I drive a Jeep Wrangler and a lot of the time I take my doors off of it. I suppose if I were to get T-boned, I expect I would have an exponentially higher chance of getting killed than anybody else.

I actually have an '02 Sunfire but it's the same car.

I drive a 90's Galant that belonged to my Dad's best friend before he died. I like it, it adds character.

I alternate between driving my sisters 95 escort and my dads 89 Chevy Silverado. My dad bought the truck when it was 1 years old and has kept it in tip top shape since then. Because he always cared about it, I always felt guilty driving it, nevertheless he always insisted on me driving it. On one rare occasion when I drove the truck I got in an accident and came out with just headaches for a week. He kept telling me how I probably would have gotten injured if I was in the escort (he must have thought that would make me feel better). I now strongly prefer driving the truck.

My 89 camry has a passenger door that I just duct taped on since I have been fined for endangering others twice now because of it. Honestly half the car is tape.

Ford F150. High bumper. Full frame. Rigid front end.
It will open just about any car like a tin can.

Broadside and F150 with an F150 and see what you get.
That shit ain't pretty either.

Well, this thread has made me wholly paranoid about any form of vehicular transportation that isn't in a truck reinforced with steel girders. I think I'm going to go to the scrapyard to look for large, imposing pieces of metal I can weld onto my car.

Or hell, just simplify the entire point of concern by never going onto a road again.

I doubt the cops would let you just weld on large chunks of metal. If they did I would reinforce my car with a few feet of steel on all sides. Who cares about getting 3 miles to the gallon if I am invincible.
