Sure. Several companies make cabs for their combo amps. Mesa, for one, makes a cab for my Lonestar combo amp.

i find that THE smartest thing you can do actually. you still have that single speaker that breaks up at low volumes (assuming your combo is single speaker) and have a cab when you need that higher volume without breaking up

ok thanks everyone, kinda off topic though but when do new amp lines usually come out?

never? tube amp tech is 40 years old. this ain't general motors.

He's asking if there's a particular time of the year most new amp models are announced/released. I don't know of any dates, but the NAMM guitar equipment fest is often where everything is announced. It happens once or twice a year.

Lol, yeah its not ea sports games or GM. I think namm happens like twice a year maybe, thats usually when new amps and such get announced.

I use the external speaker output to make a half stack. You can however just buy a jack and cut the wires from the combo speaker and make them go to the jack.

IMHO and MANY people will agree with me on this generally the older the better. Don't be waiting for the next big amp release and spend a fortune on them, instead buy an older amp on the used market. Get better quality and save some dough at the same time.

As for the swim team member that drowned, it just means the swim team just got a lot better. Same with him too, it's time to move on, the weakest link is gone...
