Hi all, I'm looking at moving on from my two Les Paul's and buying a Strat as well. I want one with the super curved body, where it slims down below the pickguard as well... if no one is sure what I mean, see Hendrix's one at Woodstock; it's got more curves than the others I've seen.

I've seen these in shops but I can't find one ANYWHERE! Can someone shed some light on this for me please? Does it go by a certain name or something?

Cheers! Luke

I think it is just the CBS era pick guard that makes it look different mate,

The only thing i think may vary in the bodies is the contours of the body but not the profile.

Are you sure it's not just because Hendrix is playing a right handed guitar upside down so the carved bit is then at the bottom? You see that when he plays it the top is not carved at all because it would be at the bottom if it was being played the right way up...if that made sense.

hendrix used a righty upsidedown. is that what's different to your eyes?

I wondered why the frisbee was getting bigger, then it hit me.

Thanks for all your help guys you're fantastic!

I feel like a total ass for not realising, of course Hendrix plays upside down lol. After 14 years of playing you think id've clocked that haha!

Yes. One of my friends used to have one, and it played beautifully.
If I would have been around when he sold it I might have bought it from him.

Hmmm, I guess that you are talking about the curves on the bottom of the guitar so that it fits your body better than a flat piece. Right??? If so, then the Highway One Super Strat has it. I know because I own one myself and it is gr8.

Hope that helps.
