I've had this guitar for like, 6-7 months, I love everything about it, but you just can't get a punchy sound out of it, no matter what.
I'm sure it's the pick ups, they don't sound like they're very "metal" to me.
I'm switching them out soon, most likely EMG's, just like everyyyyyyyyyyyyyone else.
Haha.
Anyone else have this problem with this guitar, or these passive EMG's that came stock?

it could also be the amp that you are using, which raises the question: what amp are you using?

I'm using a Peavey JSX head and I recently switched from a Sonic cab to a Mesa Boogie.
Haha, it's no Line 6 or Marshall MG.
The pickups just don't have enough output.
