Hi There, is there a such thing as Am power chord? and how?

Really want to know, sorry for being a total noob.

no, there's no major or minor power chords because there's no third just the root note and the fifth
Nothing of me is original. I am the combined effort of everybody I've ever known.

Just to make it more clear, a power chord is a fifth, to which you can add an octave

You can add layers of octaves of both notes actually, not just the one.

This is still a powerchord:

E|0
B|5
G|4
D|2
A|2
E|0

There's no major or minor powerchords, but you can raise or flatten the fifth to get a different sound.

A power chord is simply the root note and the fifth. In order for it to be Am, it would have to be the root, 5th, and the b3rd.
