Hey guys,

I ordered a matched quad of 30W Ruby 6L6GCMSTRs to re-tube my Peavey XXX 120 W head. I noticed that each one of the tubes only has six connector pins. In other words, they're all missing two of the eight connector pins. They are all missing the same two connector pins, so I'm assuming they're designed that way, but I wanted to ask on here and make sure seeing as I don't have the money to be screwing up my gear!

If anyone could help me out that'd be awesome, cuz then I'll start putting up pics of the re-tubing and the finished amp with the "new" faceplate. Thanks!

Right on thanks guys. I'm trying to get in touch with my friends that are electrical engineers, have the multimeter I need, and really should probably supervise my dumb ass doing this, but as soon as I do, I'll get the new tubes in and put a thread of the process up in GB&C. Thanks again guys!
