I have a blackstar HT-5. I heard there's a way to keep amps set at full volume so they have the best quality sound and still keep it soft so no one complains about and so I don't blow my eardrums. Does anyone know how to do this?
An attenuator would do the job, but they're pricey.

Attenuators only make sense when bringing down a cranked amp to stage volumes, not for getting a cranked amp down to bedroom levels. Even though the blackstar is only a 5w amp, that's still a lot for bedroom use.

Not all tube amps sound the best cranked. The Blackstar has a master volume, use it.
