NO!! not really good in the UK they cause more trouble shipping them over.

persnally id see if you can find a nice Gibson Les Paul Studio secondhand, eBay have quite afew because of people needing to get rid also alot of music shops have secondhand ones going lately. if not Vintage are a good company if you can find something which takes your fancy from them.

there is also the LTD EC401:
http://www.dv247.com/guitars/esp-guitars-ltd-ec-401-electric-guitar-black--60260

i know that you didnt want active pickups but im sure they do a model without, just couldnt find a decent pic!

sadly those are the only ones i can tink of off the top of my head but ill do abit more research see what throws up

No.

Not if your in the Uk, and we have better quality epis that you get in the US as we have tighter QC so they are better guitars on average over here.

for that money you can get some great guitars if you will go 2nd hand..

please check that list out,

took me a while to look for them,

some great deals there,

gibsons, tokai and an LTD,

if you are happy to go 2nd hand you can get some killer deals,

dont forget with ebay you can return stuff with reason, i mean if you get it and hate it just return it, break a bit of solder inside then say it doesnt work lol

but yeah,

2nd hand = Much better oppotunities for a truely great guitar.

for 1400 dollars you can get a gibson studio deluxe which are really great guitars, and are also limited editions. They are called gibson studio 60s on the gibson website.

http://www2.gibson.com/Products/Electric-Guitars/Les-Paul/Gibson-USA/Les-Paul-Studio-60s.aspx

Can only buy them at guitar center or the guitar center website though.

WAT?

And for 3000 TS can get a PRS Custom 24, He said under 600, read next time.

Id say the Tokai or Vintage Advance Series, I have a V100 and it's great.

Guess I should of specified dollars. And 1400 dollars would be close to what his price request would be I think.

I agree with the Japanese-made Tokai suggestions. If you're easy on the colour, Richtone has some New Old Stock examples (they aren't that old, just presumably bought before the pound devalued) for bang-on £600. If you're easy on which gibson style of guitar you get, you can get an MIJ SG for closer to £500.
I'm an idiot and I accidentally clicked the "Remove all subscriptions" button. If it seems like I'm ignoring you, I'm not, I'm just no longer subscribed to the thread. If you quote me or do the @user thing at me, hopefully it'll notify me through my notifications and I'll get back to you.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.

i have a really nice tokai les paul (love rock series), which i bought last year for about £300, from a guitar shop on denmark street in london. i mainly play hard rock, a bit of blues, bit of metal, and i must say it served me well so far. it sounds as good as some gibsons ive tried before.
