I took in his body with my eyes tubing around his matted hair
his muscles, dull remnants of strength lodged in their musk
his shining blade scars across his forehead cheeks and chest
his black hole mouth

took it in with my tail shooting at him opening like an umbrella at the tip
enveloped him in my reptilian slime until he was fully absorbed
and nothing but his shoes and clothes on the kitchen floor just sitting there
where a second ago had been glory in the highest

after the injestion
I still felt him
like i imagine a pregnant woman feels a baby who hasnt kicked for a day
but he felt better inside, felt better than he had before
when we sat up on the roof and followed our sunset down into the belly of Manhattan
he would never let it die quick enough
verbal guilting quips like city spotlights blocking comets

but now inside me
silence on the western front
and that moon with no hands on deck rose damn near naturally

+1 That's a really good way of putting it.

It's funny, I was just watching the episode where Cell swallows Android 18 and tranformers into his completed stage. How weird.

This was a really, really good read, Dylan. I'm going to keep re-reading because it clearly has more to offer than the ideas of possession and consumption it alludes to.
