Hello, im planning on buying a new guitar. Ive been looking at a gibson SG special faded (http://www.thomann.de/se/gibson_sgspecialfaded_wc.htm) and a ESP EC-401VF Faded cherry (http://www.thomann.de/se/esp_ltd_ec401vf_fcsb.htm). You can say that my musical taste ranges between Paramore and A Day To Remember. If you have any other suggestion of a guitar just paste it here! Should be in the 800 dollar price range though.

Thanks in advance!

If you do go with the Gibson Faded, make sure you play it before you buy it. They're pretty hit and miss, but the hits are golden.

Not always true. Gibsons tend to be better than the Epi G400 but the best are the ones with 60's style necks. These are very light and a leather strap will usually hold them nicely. The fatter necks are a little more difficult to balance but there are dozens of ways around the problem. One of the best is to attach weight to the back end of the strap.

MOST SG neck dive unless you move the strap pin to the horn ( Which doesn't make sense why you want to buy a guitar to drill a hole ).

So i recommend if you're not that into SG, consider other shapes..
