Self-explanatory.

Mine's gotta be the new JrGong and Nas CD "Distant Relatives." Sick piece of work and really innovative and powerful.

Almost everything else has dissapointed me. The Congratulations (MGMT) and Embryonic (Flaming Lips) were both flops, IMO.

You guys?

For me, probs Option Paralysis by TDEP.

Um Embryonic and Congratulations were awesome...Contra by Vampire Weekend was pretty great, so was Transference by Spoon. But my favorite album so far would have to be I'm New Here by Gil Scott Heron. That is an epic album. "Me and the Devil" is probably my favorite song atm.

^Yeah and Embryonic was 2009

Either the new Cynic EP or the new 65daysofstatic album. Though there are probably some others that I can't think of right now.

I was really ****ing disappointed by The National's new album, the way everyone went on about it...

I have 3 favorites this year:

1st Place: MGMT - Congratulations

2nd Place: Gorillaz - Plastic Beach

3rd Place: Tame Impala - Innerspeaker

EDIT: And Embryonic and Congratulations are awesome, broski. YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW!

I still need to get Ratatat's new album and Minus the Bear's new album, though, so those might be on my list sometime if I like them.

Crystal Castles new album is pretty good, too.

EDIT2: And when Fleet Foxes new album comes out, that shit is TOTALLY going on this list.

And the Swords, if it gets released this year.

Broken Bells self titled was pretty excellent.
Can't wait for more from them.
James Mercer from The Shins and Danger Mouse (Brian Burton)are both great, but together they're even better.

I liked the National album...at least I liked it more than I liked their other albums. I've never been a huge fan of the National. Oh and I almost forgot, but This is Happening by LCD Soundsystem twas orgasmic.

Apart form those two there was nothing that grabbed my interest yet

EDIT: Completely forgot about No Guts, No Glory by Airbourne and Slash (which was somewhat a disappointment but some songs were great)

These nouns are often used with a form of "to be" rather than "to have," e.g., "he is pwnage" rather than "he has pwnage". Either is a more emphatic way of expressing the simpler "he pwns,"

Im surprised only one person has Year of the Black Rainbow. Maybe it's just me, but I think that it is Coheed and Cambria's second best album so far.

Nas has some good stuff, but sometimes I feel like he hate me because I'm white.

I haven't bought any albums that I can think of from this year. I'm still trying to buy the essential albums from years past, but I really like Ihsahn's new stuff

I've only bought one album that was released this year - Jimi Hendrix's Valleys of Neptune. It's not Jimi's best, but it is definitely better than anything current IMO.
PRS SAS or Gibson LP Standard+
Teese WOF->Analogman Sunlion->Dr. Scientist Elements->Foxrox Aquavibe->Strymon Timeline->Eventide Space
Mesa RoadKing II and 2 Vox AC15s run in stereo

Broken Social Scene - Forgiveness Rock Record

Easily outstrips any other new release I've heard. Not many bands I like have released stuff, and I haven't listened to the new Dead Weather or Hold Steady albums yet.

I've heard the High Road on the radio in Austin, but nowhere else.

The Mall and Misery is my favorite track.
