Just curious on the best right-hand picking position is on an SG? I'm used to putting my fingers on the pickguard on an acoustic and using them as guides like that. Is that a solid habit to transfer over to electric?

Yes I was rude, and I was aggressive and I was offending a large group of people. But I was civlized about it.

overall not a good habit, you shudnt have anything pressing against the guitar except your right forearm.

i just hover my hand around the bridge

you can hover your hand, and you can also anchor it on the bridge.
