We all know those bands that only have one song that we like. What about those bands that have an entire album that you like, but dislike all of their other work? For me it's Rush. I dislike everything by Rush except for 2112. I can listen to that entire album but I think that anything else by them is shit (imo of course).

OT: happens, TS, but did it really have to be that band?

What's wrong with Rush? Working Man popped up on my pandora playlist and I realized how I dislike Rush except for 2112

I love Iron Maiden's first ever album.

All their stuff after that sounds the same. Plus Bruce's vocals annoy me.

lol. TS doesn't realize a shit storm is about to occur.

You are wrong. Fair enough about Bruce's vocals, that's a matter of opinion, but there's no way can you say that Powerslave sounds the same as Brave New World, or Number of the Beast sounds the same as Somewhere in Time, or whatever. Unless you're gay.

I love the ratio of shitstorm warnings to actual shitstorm.

That would have to be This War Is Ours by Escape The Fate for me.

Come on guys, don't ruin the thread with crap about Fassa.

@Fassa just don't even comment about it.

OT: Rise Against - Appeal To Reason

I like a few songs from their other albums but most suck imo.

You like Hybrid Theory but not Meteora? Kind of odd since they didn't really change very much between those albums. Or maybe it's BECAUSE they didn't change much?

Deftones - Diamond Eyes.

Couldn't be bothered with their old stuff too....idk, droney

TS, you have no idea what you've gotten yourself into.

Anyway, I guess for me it's Avenged Sevenfold. *raises flame shield* The City of Evil album was awesome; everything else is crap. That's the only band I've had this kind of problem with, though. I usually like most of the albums by bands I listen to.

I'm not really sure. I just never really liked Meteora. I know it's pretty similar, but I could never get into it.

*Patiently awaits Fassa's angry arrival*

Anyways, I can't think of any band/album that applies to me in this situation.

Yeah but Working Man was on there first album, with a different drummer. They changed they're sound a lot once they got Peart in the mix.

For me it'd be Billy Talent's first album. I think it's great (with a few tracks that are only okay.) I can't stand there new material though.

The Crusade by Trivium. I've tried getting into their other stuff, but this is the only album by them that I can listen to as of right now. I might give their other stuff another chance in the near future.

inb4 Fassa.

S&M by Metallica. I don't dislike Metallica, it's just that after hearing them with a symphony orchestra (which was a match made in heaven) listening to the rest of their music without that layer seems very dull in comparison.

Closing Time by Tom Waits to an extent as well. I have other Waits albums where I'd only like either one or no songs, but all of Closing Time is amazing.

You all are complaining about Fassa potentially seeing this, but I know you're all secretly hoping she comes into this thread. You love to hate her. If she was gone you'd all be sad.
