I finally took the leap to a 1960A. AMAZING! the jump in tone is HUGE! It's a 1993 Marshall JCM 900 1960A with Celestion G12T-75W made in BRITAIN speakers.

It's an amazing jump in tone and I got it for 400 dollars with no gashes in the tolex.

The tone is very bright and crisp. Really makes a huge difference compared to the Peavey Scorpions I had in a 2x12. The G12Ts sound great! Nice and bright but not brittle. The cab is constructed excellently. Everything's nice and tight, no rattles, no weak joints, no loose speakers. Best cab I've ever played through.

Play through a cab with Scumback speakers, and you'll blow your mind twice.

HNGD though.

HNCD dude. i agree with raijouta, a speaker upgrade would be beneficial, but don't think it is absolutely necessary. just think that after a while of playing it you will start noticing somethings you may want to enhance or buckle down, and a couple new speakers in an X pattern will enhance the cab more.

you can also rotate different speakers in and out and get to be your own expert. many people like mixing G12K-100's or V30's with the G12T-75's. i recommend a pair of 100 watt weber alnico silver bells. a mix of alnico and ceramic speakers has a very musical trail off imo.

congrats dude!
