So last week i made a thread about modding my amp. Well i was told to post pictures when i was done. so i will do that and more, i have pictures and a video. so without further a due

for those of you that don't know what this amp originally looked like here's a picture

Also a video of the lights in action and some other gear and stuff

link to my youtube vid

so pretty much it was nice easy simple and cheap. All in all cost me about $80 u.s. and 2 1/2 hours of my time

I just took the front piece out, put the lights in, wired em up. Put the plexiglass on, put the badge on and there you go.
1 screw was poorly placed and took a while to get out, but other then that pretty easy.

I always envied the hughes and kettner triamp (the one alex lifeson from rush uses) and i wanted that look, so i went out and got it...it's not perfect but it's pretty damn good (for those of you that have tried to cut plexiglass with a blade cleanly....it's not easy.

So anyway i hope you like it, as far as i know i'm the first person to do that a bugera...i've seen one guy put led's in a 333, but no plexiglass.

If anyone has questions about where i got the materials or how i did it or anything feel free to ask and i will get back to you as soon as possible

and a couple of these for good measure

I like that. Especially the blue and the red. You've convinced me to use clear (or at least opaque) plexiglass or its ilk on my next amp.

how did you put them in, glue or what?

clear plastic double sided scotch tape. they come with things to mount them, but they're annoying to deal with if you have big hands. just get the roll of tape, it will be enough and it's much easier...and pretty strong too

it's pretty strong...i dont' move it around much, i have a smaller combo i use when i'm going somewhere...and i don't do large gigs....at least not yet. The velcro sounds like a great idea though

actually another good idea would be staples, if you could get one that's a little taller and wider then your average staple

does it run off its own power source or do you have it in with the amps wiring, and if its wired into the amp, did you use a fusible link? =p

no it has it's own wiring with a ac converter that plugs into a normal outlet.

very, very cool... especially in green

I was thinking of sticking some lights around the outsides of my speakers so the grille cloth glows :p

Ya originally i wanted blue, but after seeing the green i really like that. I have it set to fade in and out and change between a few different colors right now which is cool.

That sounds cool, maybe i'll have to do that someday too to match the rest of my amp

I think that is just a poster

I did the same thing tho at first, I was like is that plywood

Congrats Camaross427 - looks sick! I would taken pics with something blank behind it - or a mirror. Those things put off 0 heat and 0 noise. I have two of them. I would also take off the preamp tube covers. I've never needed mine.

Looks awsome man, especially the green, good job!

ya that's just a poster, i would have moved it but i didn't think about it at the time. plus that would require me moving my head and cab up stairs, and i don't want to do that lol

And thanks to everyone for all the kind words! it was something i really wanted to do and i'm glad it turned out pretty well
