Does this sound normal? It gets louder with volume.

Gain is at about 3. Volumes both at 12 o' clock. I'm using an ISP Decimator but it does nothing about this loud hiss. The hiss isn't that bad on my DSL50.

What do you think it could be?

That's hum. It can be caused by several things.

Output tubes
Single coil pickups on your guitar
Cheap guitar cable
Missing ground
Floating ground (if the amp is connected to another piece of gear, such as a computer)

Unplug the guitar cable from the amp. Is it still there? I'll bet it's gone.

When the guitar cable is unplugged the hum goes away. :/

Which guitar is it? What brand of cable? Are you by electronics?

Have you tried a different cable?

It's a gibson SG with stock everything. I'm using Monster cables and I am by electronics.

Try moving away from electronics: light dimmer switches, computer monitors, etc....also try another outlet in another room if possible. Could be a number of things environmentally causing the noise. I have a noisy outlet in one of my rooms and dimmer switches in a room can be sources of noise too.

Not normal.........check your peamp tubes also..........

I solved the problem! It was the power supply from my pedalboard making all the noise, but now I use a one-spot so everything is good!
