Does it exist? Google is failing me

Just as a... "sub question", what's the main difference between 2x12 and 4x12? And from what point on do you "need" a 4x12?

4x12's have a sliightly different tone. A little bit bigger, bassier sounding. Only marginally louder (not much at all.)

There's never a point in which you would NEED a 4x12. No situation could possibly require it.
