You crazy kids and you're videos..

Sounds pretty good man. Good work.
Why brag about my gear? I have better than some and others have better than me. Who cares? It works for me.

amazing dude. the playing is fantastic, the audio quality is great, its mixed well. what did you use to record it?
#5
That's awesome. Not really my kind of music, although TBDM kind of sounds like that, but the guitar is amazing. The mix is really good too. Only problem is the drums get kind of repetitive.
#6
Thanks guys! I recorded the guitars and bass with a Rig Kontrol 3 into Reaper DAW. The drums are programmed MIDI. In addition to the amp sims, I used loads of eqs and compressors, tweaking this and that until I got something I wanted.

Some extra stuff from the description:
"The rhythm guitar parts were played with my Jackson RR3, while the solo guitar parts were played with my Ibanez RG4EX1. For the guitar tone, I used SoloC and Nick Crow 8505.

The drums are programmed with Steven Slate Drums EX with the Metal Hybrid kit(except for the snare).

The bass is played with a Dean 5 string bass guitar. I used Guitar Rig 4 for the tone."

Sorry about the drums being repetitive; I should've changed some parts before I put it up. >.<

Wonderful job.

jesus christ man!! that shit is awesome!! despite it being a little over 6 mins long, it never sounded repetitive to my ears. it reminds me a lot of arsis but this had more of a groove that the listener can get into as opposed to arsis constantly changing shit every 5 seconds.

i would love to offer some advice or say things like "this or that part could be better" but theres really nothing to say in that respect the sound quality and mix are amazing. crit my latest could you?

Thank you again everyone!! Yes, I am a huge fan of Arsis(James Malone's riffs and solos are eargasmic!), and they have influenced me greatly ever since I started playing guitar.

Haha thanks dude! I feel like a toddler again

That was awesome. I have one question. How old are you? You look pretty young, which is all the more impressive.

You, good sir, have not gone over to your friends house after a hard night of drinking to find 2 dudes passed out in the same room both holding their own flaccid cocks in hand, passed out, with porn on the tv.

Good job.

I'll admit it was a little boring at parts (mostly due to the drums). Maybe change that up a little and it will sound better.

Thanks dude! I'll try to play around with the drums before the non-instrumental version is released. My friend wants to do vocals, so that'll give me a chance to improve them. Any advice about programming drum beats and stuff like that? (eg: Should I add more fills? What can I do to make them sound more human?, etc.)

some sick skillz you got fella!

very well written aswell

really enjoyed listening to that, most people cant keep my attention, but you sir managed to! :p

but yeah, solid riffs, very well played too, drums maybe coulda been a bit more less generic, but apart from that i thought it was bang on!

oh, and vocals!! get some sorted and it'll be even the sweeter

Seriously duide what age are you? That song was damn good. You have seriously great riffs structured in that song. The solo was awsome. I'v been playing for 6 years and still can't play like that. You should be proud!

Only thing thing that kind of annoyed me was the obsessive double kick that was going on 24/7. Switch it up a bit! Give it a bit of variation and you'll definetely have a killer song man.

Crit mines?

holy **** how did you record that so well...

the mix is ****ing flawless. Sounds like a professional recording. Damn.... Maybe turn last 2 solos down a TAD but thats about it.

As far as the song: Amazing solo, love the fact it is instrumental (personal taste). Flawless precision with technical runs....
