check out the Line 6 POD studio's, they're cool
or just buy a usb mic and use audacity for a simple way?

I bought one and they're actually GREAT! The software "Pod Farm" is worth $99 by itself IMO. Nice little rig and I have a $500 interface sitting here - the Lil' GX1 has sound that's every bit as good.
Now running an Eleven Rack with Pro Tools 10.3.3 - it's amazing and I'm having ball with it - worth every penny. PT 10 is tops IMO and the Eleven Rack is a work of art!
