So im looking to get a new amp, and i just saw that they have a used valveking 100 watt head for 300 dollars at Guitar center. ive also been trying out the vypyr 60 tube combo, which is about $400. i like the sound of it, but im thinking that the valveking is a much better deal, so i just want to get some advice on which one would be the better option.

Vypyr Tube is better off the bat.

Valveking head requires an EQ pedal and new tubes to sound good for metal.

This. As much as I love my Valveking, I would probably get the Vypyr if I was you. The Tube Vypyrs are phenominal for a budget amp IMO.

This question really does not need to be asked.

Tube Vypyr... the Valve King doesn't even start to compare.

it's so cool to hate Gibson, even the federal Department of Justice hates them.
