my improvisation practise is pretty much i choose a scale and do some random stuff i that scale... without äny backing tracks or anything =) it's freakin' awesome! =D

I have a little fun by just going to youtube and typing in something like, Guitar Backing Tracks... starting at the top and playing all the way down, not picking or choosing which key the song is in, what style the song is in, what tempo or any of that jazz, just working it all out on the fly.

Usually leads to some pretty interesting improv. jams .

Do it with a friend...he can play a C chord, and you can solo over it with the C major scale
