Hi, I'm trying to install a set of Seymour Duncan Blackouts in my les paul and I'm a little confused about the 'ground wire to bridge'

I've had EMG's before and those are grounded internally so it does not require that wire to be soldered to a potentiometer. Now I'm trying to install the Blackouts, are these internally grounded as well? since the quik connect wiring can be used for both EMG's and Blackouts.
However, I was comparing wiring diagrams that seymour duncan has and for the diagram that I need DOES NOT show the 'ground wire to bridge' but if you look at a diagram for say, 2 volume & 1 tone, then it shows it.

So I don't know whether or not I should solder the 'ground wire to bridge' to a potentiometer.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
