The guitar that I play is a simple Yamaha acoustic. I play it so often, that whenever I switch to my Squier Strat, I'm amazed at how easily I can manipulate the strings. It's most likely because the acoustic strings have higher action. When I get a new electric, I think I'll still practice with the acoustic a lot more--with the idea that it is a less forgiving instrument.

Has anyone else thought this way? Is it a good idea to regularly practice on a high-action acoustic to build strength for any other guitars you have?
Um... Guitars are cool, and stuff...
yeah i do it too heavy gauge strings for my acoustic
and like 9s and 10s for my electrics
